About

Discover a school where your child is known.

Our Educational Approach

Choosing the right school can feel overwhelming. Many parents worry their child will be overlooked, academically under-challenged, or taught values that don’t reflect what’s taught at home. Ahadu Christian Academy is grounded in the Principle Approach to education, teaching students to understand learning through the lens of biblical truth and timeless moral principles in harmony with the Orthodox Tewahedo church. We believe education should shape how students think, not simply what they know.

Building on this strong foundation, we intentionally adapt the Principle Approach to the modern world. Our program integrates STEM learning, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and thoughtful technology use, equipping students with the skills, discernment, and adaptability needed for an ever-changing future.

Mastery, Meaning & Mission in Every Lesson

Ahadu Christian Academy

At ACA, every child deserves a world-class education rooted in truth, curiosity, and joy — one that equips them not just for college, but for a life of faithful purpose. Our program integrates STEM learning, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and thoughtful technology use, equipping students with the skills, discernment, and adaptability needed for an ever-changing future.

Our Educational Foundation

Three World Class Approaches, One Unified Vision

01

Singapore Mathematics & Science

Depth Over Breadth Students master concepts before advancing — using the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract progression and bar modeling to build genuine understanding, not surface familiarity.

02

Finnish Pedagogy

Student-Centered Joy Inquiry-based, phenomenon-driven learning with outdoor time, reduced testing pressure, and a deep respect for each student’s intrinsic motivation and well-being.

03

Biblical Worldview

Creation → Redemption → Restoration Every subject is explored through the lens of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration — asking not just what we learn, but why it matters in God’s story.

How We Measure Growth

Assessment That Serves the Student

Daily & Weekly

Observations, exit tickets, student conferences, and portfolios that capture growth over time — not just a single moment.

Periodic Benchmarks

End-of-unit and project-based assessments each Fall, Winter, and Spring give a meaningful picture of each learner’s journey.

Standardized Testing

Optional for K–2, annual for Grades 3–8 for national benchmarking.

Our Commitment

Testing is a diagnostic tool — never the driver of instruction. Our curriculum is guided by mastery learning and Maryland College & Career Ready Standards, ensuring every student is prepared for what comes next.

Fully aligned to Maryland College & Career Ready Standards (MCCRS) — detailed crosswalk documents maintained for every subject.
